Eyab is an engineer, strategist, and researcher who thrives at the intersection of technology, energy, and big ideas for a sustainable future. With a career spanning resource development, energy systems, and industrial decarbonization, he brings both technical depth and vision to shaping how industries transition to low carbon thriving economy.

He spent a decade in the oil and gas sector before leading oilsands research at the Pembina Institute. Today, he’s an ambassador at the Energy Futures Lab and a fellow at the UK-based Royal Society of Arts, where he collaborates with innovators, policy leaders, and entrepreneurs to reimagine what’s possible.

A mechanical engineer by training and a professional engineer in Alberta, Eyab pairs analytical rigour with curiosity about technological and social systems to create a better future. Beyond his professional work, Eyab is passionate about active lifestyle such as biking, advocates for the right to repair, and is exploring permaculture as a way of connecting energy with sustainable food systems in everyday life.
