Lydia Pengilley
Lydia (she/her) is a Project Coordinator at Naqsmist with Secwépemc, English, and Scottish heritage. Watching her mother and grandmother advocate and fight for Indigenous and women’s rights drives her passion for healing and systems change. Raised on Musqueam territory in Richmond, BC, Lydia brings an urban Indigenous perspective, further deepened through spending time at the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre. Committed to breaking the cycles of intergenerational trauma, her interests lie in the reintroduction of Ceremony, revitalization of language, and education for Indigenous youth. She believes that uplifting and centering Indigenous voices in her work will bring justice and meaningful change.
