Conor Kerr is a Métis/Ukrainian writer living in Edmonton, Alberta on Treaty 6 territory. While growing up in various towns and cities across Saskatchewan and Alberta his family instilled a love of the land and water. He hopes that his writing and work will help create a sustainable future where the next generations can also hear duck wings whistling overhead in the darkness before the dawn. He is the author of five books, including the novel Prairie Edge and poetic-novella Beaver Hills Forever. Conor currently works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta.
