Following the MOU Implementation Agreement announced by the Alberta and federal governments, the Canadian Climate Institute has been crunching the numbers to unpack what the agreement means for emissions in the country.
The Institute hosted an Ask Me Anything webinar on June 5th from 12-1pm EST to share new modelling covering projected national emissions impacts through 2050 under the agreed terms of the MOU and they took questions on the topic.
The implementation agreement marks a significant shift in Canada’s industrial carbon pricing framework. Dave Sawyer, Principal Economist and Head of the 440 Megatonnes project and Ross Linden-Fraser, Research Lead of the 440 Megatonnes project, walked people through our findings and answered questions directly.
