Alexa Metallic is a Mi’gmaq woman from Listuguj First Nation located in Gespe’gewa’gi, Mi’gma’gi. She is currently based out of Kjipuktuk (Halifax, Nova Scotia) where she is finishing up her research in pursuit of a Master of Arts in Indigenous Governance from the University of Victoria. Alexa works as the Policy and Research Coordinator for Indigenous Climate Action (ICA), an Indigenous-led organization guided by a diverse group of Indigenous knowledge keepers, water protectors, and land defenders from across Canada.
