Ana Gonzalez Guerrero

Ana is the Senior Manager, Climate and Cities at MaRS, where she leads the organization’s adaptation and resilience portfolio at the intersection of innovation, climate risk, and finance. Previously, she oversaw CAANZero, a pilot initiative focused on unlocking private capital and building capacity for small- and mid-sized municipalities advancing climate action.

Prior to MaRS, Ms. Gonzalez Guerrero managed an Innovation Fund spanning six countries through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Partnership for Municipal Innovation in Local Economic Development, and worked with more than 340 local governments across Canada through the Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program.

In 2017, she co-founded Youth Climate Lab, a global non-profit organization, overseeing operations and programs while contributing to the organization’s vision and strategy. She serves as the outgoing Vice-Chair of the Tamarack Institute’s Board of Directors and was a member of an expert advisory table for Canada’s National Adaptation Strategy.
