Carole Saab
Carole Saab is the CEO of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. She is a tireless champion for cities and communities, driving an ambitious vision for local government leadership in building a more sustainable, prosperous, and inclusive Canada.
Ms Saab is an accomplished strategist with over a decade of experience in federal and municipal advocacy. Ms Saab has been a driving force behind watershed achievements for municipalities, securing unprecedented investment and progress for cities and communities, including scaling up local climate innovation, infrastructure, and affordable housing. She is deeply committed to supporting local climate action through FCM’s Green Municipal Fund, $1 billion endowment funded by the Government of Canada and delivered to municipalities by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), the Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program, and the Partners for Climate Protection.
Ms Saab is consistently voted as one of the Top 100 Lobbyists in Canada. She is a 2020 recipient of “Canada’s Top 40 Under 40”, and the “Women of Influence in Local Government Award” from Municipal World. Ms Saab also serves as Secretary General for North America for the United Cities of Local Government. Ms Saab’s leadership and effective team-building have positioned FCM as one of the most respected and effective advocacy and programing organizations in Canada.
