Geoffrey’s interests lie at the intersection of climate science, energy systems, and the economy. His background is in climate science with a focus on net zero, carbon budgets, integrated assessment modelling, carbon cycle response to carbon dioxide emission and removals, and the Earth system response to carbon dioxide removal methods. His work focuses on developing science-based classification criteria for the Canadian sustainable investment taxonomy. Prior to joining the Institute Geoffrey was a research associate with Simon Fraser University’s Climate Research Lab led by Prof. Kirsten Zickfeld. Geoffrey holds an MSc from Simon Fraser University and a BSEng from the University of Victoria.
