Kathleen has a research background in climate change mitigation, life cycle assessment, sustainable food systems, and energy system modelling. She developed her interest in energy system modelling while working as a Project Manager at Net Zero Atlantic, where she supported the development of an open-source Atlantic Canadian energy system model. Kathleen strives to use her communication skills to bridge the gaps between technical and non-technical worlds and to make energy system modelling accessible to a broad audience. Above all, Kathleen is committed in both a professional and personal sense to ensuring that the transition to a net zero carbon society is achieved in a timely and equitable and inclusive manner.
