Katya Rhodes

D. Katya Rhodes is a climate policy professor at the University of Victoria. She investigates the topics of effective and politically acceptable climate policy designs using survey tools and energy-economy models. Dr. Rhodes is a member of Canada’s Sustainable Development Advisory Council where she works to achieve climate sustainability as part of the Federal Sustainable Development Strategy. In 2019-2022, she served as President of the Canadian Society for Ecological Economics. Prior to joining the academia, Dr. Rhodes worked in the British Columbia Government where she led modelling and economic analyses for the provincial CleanBC climate plan.
