
Kevin Hanna

Kevin Hanna grew up in British Columbia’s southern interior. He holds degrees from the University of British Columbia and the University of Toronto, where he earned his PhD. Dr. Hanna is based at UBC’s Okanagan Campus, where he teaches environmental assessment and energy resources courses. He leads the Centre for Environmental Assessment Research at UBC. His research spans environmental assessment, natural resource management, and energy systems, with a focus on western Canada and the Arctic. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and authored five books, including the recent Handbook of Environmental Assessment (Routledge).
