Kevin Woods, P.Eng. is the Director of Energy Services for the North Shore Mi’kmaq Tribal Council (NSMTC).  With an industry-scale mandate, Kevin’s team is responsible for identifying and fostering opportunities for Indigenous inclusion in the energy sector in New Brunswick, including those involving Nation wealth building, labour force development, and inclusion in supply and logistics chains. The NSMTC Energy Services Division also supports the seven Mi’kmaq Nations of the Tribal Council in their journey to a net-zero future, with initiatives including community energy planning, building energy retrofits, and community-scale renewable generation initiatives. Kevin is a licensed Professional Engineer with nearly two decades of experience in the energy and built environment sectors, and draws from diverse yet complimentary experiences through his career to support the advancement of Indigenous participation and empowerment in the energy economy.
