Libby is a Program Coordinator on the Indigenous Research Team at the Canadian Climate Institute. She is a proud mixed Saulteaux woman from Kinistin Saulteaux First Nation in Treaty 4, and was raised where Treaty 4 and Treaty 7 cross in south-eastern Alberta. She strives to bring a grounded understanding of Indigenous identity shaped by her kinship connections, lived experience, and community relationships. She currently resides in Moh’kinsstis and remains deeply connected to Prairie Indigenous perspectives.

Libby’s academic experience at the University of Calgary and Athabasca University has focused on Political Science and Indigenous Studies. Her professional experience spans more than two years in the federal public service at Crown‑Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, where she contributed to policy development, Indigenous engagement, land use planning, and administrative coordination. Her past work also includes facilitation on racism and equitable health outcomes through MASS LBP’s OurCare project, as well as leadership roles in hospitality management. Across all her work, she is committed to advancing reconciliation, strengthening Indigenous‑centered policy, and amplifying Indigenous voices in decolonization.
