Michael Maracle-Polak is Bear Clan of the Mohawk Nation, and a Six Nations Band member. As the Co-Founder and President of Akwekon Enterprise he is dedicated to empowering Indigenous communities through strategic development, research, and meaningful consultation. M. Maracle-Polak carries deep traditional knowledge and embeds it in all that he does, ensuring that Indigenous ways of knowing, respect for the land, and community-driven solutions are at the core of his work. M. Maracle-Polak also holds a Master’s degree in Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Queen’s University and Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Saint Mary’s University.

A systems thinker and problem solver, M. Maracle-Polak challenges conventional approaches, uncovering new perspectives and innovative solutions. He is committed to aligning words with actions, amplifying Indigenous perspectives, and fostering innovation that drives social and environmental impact.

His expertise spans climate mitigation, Indigenous economic development, strategic consulting, financial modeling, disruptive technology, and human-centered design. As a member of the Mitigation Expert Panel at the Canadian Climate Institute, he contributes to shaping policy and advancing Canada’s net-zero transition.
