Sara Moarif has been head of the Environment and Climate Change Unit at the IEA since late 2019. In this role she oversees a range of work on energy and environment policy issues, including on energy sector climate resilience and work with emerging economies as part of the IEA’s Clean Energy Transitions Programme. She also oversees the IEA’s international climate-related engagement. Sara started her career at the IEA, and worked at the Centre for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) in Washington DC and the OECD Environment Directorate before returning to the IEA in 2016.
